Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely.
We are transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice.
We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our growing Product Design team. This role is available to candidates across Canada (excluding Quebec) and the US. If you are located near one of our hubs (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto), you will be expected to work in the office a minimum of twice per week on our designated Anchor Days.
Design plays a pivotal role at Clio, standing alongside Product and Engineering as one of the three pillars of our Research and Development organization. Our product designers work directly with customers to understand their behaviors, needs, and workflows. They champion thoughtful, high‑quality experiences as we transform how lawyers and their teams serve their clients. If you’re focused on shipping value to customers with an opportunity to revolutionize an industry, you’ve found your next team.
The Clio Accounting team is on a mission to automate and tailor the accounting experience to every customer: taking firms from weeks of setup to fully operational and automated on day one.
As a Senior Product Designer, youll define and execute the experience strategy for core Accounting workflows, transaction import, review and matching, and transaction creation and settlement. This high‑stakes area spans financial configuration and day‑to‑day accounting operations; experiences that directly shape whether customers manage their bookkeeping efficiently and accurately. The role sits at the intersection of complex domain logic, structured data, and habit‑forming onboarding design.
Youll partner with Product and Engineering to evolve these experiences for solo lawyers to mid‑market and enterprise customers, leading end‑to‑end design from discovery through launch and iteration. Ideal candidates ground decisions in deep customer understanding, translate accounting complexity into clear and intuitive experiences, and drive outcomes from day one.
This role is a backfill for an existing position.
Compensation is one of the main components of Clio’s Total Rewards Program.
We have developed a series of programs and processes to ensure we are creating fair and competitive pay practices that form the foundation of our human and high‑performing culture.
The expected salary range* for this role is $128,400 to $151,000 to $173,600 CAD. There are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are current to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
