Current Horizon Co-op is hiring a Part-Time Meat Cutter at our Food Store in Valleyview, Alberta.

What you’ll do:

- Cut, trim, debone and prepare standard cuts of meat according to specifications

- Wrap, label and package prepared meats

- Respond to all customer inquiries regarding different cuts, serving sizes and other product related questions in a courteous and well-informed manner

- Ensure all equipment is clean, well maintained and fully operational

- Perform duties in compliance with established health and safety regulations

- Assist other departments as needed, including unloading freight and stocking shelves

- Other duties, as assigned

Who you are and what you have:

- Enthusiastic approach to work with strong leadership skills

- Availability to work on a very flexible schedule (Morning and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends)

- Practical working knowledge of daily retail operations

- Able to work independently and in a team

- Can handle cool temperatures, and heavy lifting may be required, up to 50lbs

- Must be 18 years of age or older

- Previous Meat Cutting experience is required, previous retail experience is an asset
