As a Finance Systems & Accounting Analyst, you'll work directly with the Finance Manager and CFO, contributing to accounting, reporting, process improvement, and the transition to an upgraded Sage ERP environment. You'll gain exposure to multiple industries, business models, and entities while helping shape how the Finance team supports a growing business group.

This role is well suited to an accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, learning new systems, and working in an environment that continues to evolve.

Title: Finance Systems and Accounting Analyst

Department:Lil’wat Management Services
Status: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $70,000 to $80,000
Reporting to:Finance Manager

Summary of Duties
The Finance Systems & Accounting Analyst supports accounting operations, financial reporting, and finance systems across Líl̓wat Business Group's businesses and partnerships.

The role combines day-to-day accounting responsibilities with financial analysis, process improvement, and systems support. Working closely with leadership, the Finance Systems & Accounting Analyst contributes to month-end processes, reporting, budgeting, and projects that strengthen the Finance function and support organizational growth.

The role is designed to evolve alongside the organization, supporting changing business needs, continuous improvement initiatives,



and the development of new systems, processes, and ways of working.

Key Deliverables and Expectations

Support month-end and year-end accounting processes

Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting working papers

Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities

Support project, construction, and entity-level accounting activities

Participate in financial reporting, analysis, and management reportingSupport finance systems improvements, ERP transition activities, and ongoing optimization initiatives

Assist with system testing, user support, training, and adoption activities

Document financial processes, workflows, and internal controls

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and reporting quality

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other management information tools

Support financial administration across multiple entities and partnerships

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities

Maintain accurate records and documentation supporting finance operations

Provide limited administrative support for corporate compliance requirements and records management

Support board and shareholder administration activities

Maintain policy and governance documents,



including version control and updates

Participate in special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned

Assume progressively greater accounting responsibilities as experience, capability, and business requirements evolve

Perform other related duties as requested

Experience and Attributes

Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field

Demonstrated accounting experience

Strong systems aptitude and interest in process improvement

Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Ability to organize work, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment

Interest in learning new systems and supporting organizational change

Experience with Sage or other ERP systems considered an asset

Experience in construction, development, property, project, or multi-entity environments considered an asset

Progress toward a CPA designation, or willingness to pursue one, considered an asset

Interest in continuing to develop accounting and finance expertise through progressively increasing responsibility

Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to take ownership of new challenges as the organization grows

Highly skilled in all aspects of business, presentation and interaction with all stakeholders, clients, and Members.
