The Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse will provide psychiatric care primarily to children in pediatric emergencies. Working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, you will perform assessments, develop care plans, and ensure comprehensive treatment documentation. This position also includes guiding health care workers and participating in educational activities for nursing staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide psychiatric assessments and care for pediatric patients
• Develop and adjust individualized care plans with families




• Perform psychosocial assessments and document all findings
• Liaise with Emergency Department staff to adapt care plans
• Offer crisis counselling and guidance to patients and families

Requirements:
• Registered Nurse/Psychiatric Nurse designation in BC
• One year experience in acute pediatric psychiatric care
• In-depth knowledge of mental health legislation
• Solid skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
• Excellent ability to work independently and in teams
