We are seeking a Wheel Loader Operator who is aspiring to reach their potential in the field of construction. J-AAR Materials is part of J-AAR Ltd., responsible for the supply of Aggregates, Landscape Products, Crushing, Trucking & Recycling.
Environment A Wheel Loader Operator is required to facilitate operations within our various locations. Operating may occur in all types of weather conditions and there is a varying degree of physical labour required. Work hours variable based on demand.
How You Will Make An IMPACT Operate Wheel Loader effectively and efficiently
Load trucks, manage stockpiles, and grade haulage routes
Screening plant operation
Maintain equipment – grease, fluids, standard upkeep
Report damaged or faulty equipment to management
Test repaired equipment for proper performance
Feeder and elevating conveyor operation and maintenance
Keep processing area clean and in order
Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations,
decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation as required
Other duties as assigned
How You WOW Us High School Diploma or GED
2-5 years related experience required
Aggregate specification and quality standard knowledge required
Valid G Driver’s License with clean abstract
Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to keep accurate records
Basic Computers skills
Reliable and punctual
Strong work ethic
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
