Indigo Park is looking for an Area Manager in Ottawa. The Area Manager will be responsible for coordinating and day-to-day managing all functions (staffing, equipment, and overall operations). The Area Manager supports senior management in the budget development process and manages programs to ensure the successful development, maintenance, and enhancement of client/customer relationships.Why Join Indigo?We believe in recognizing and rewarding excellent performanceWe believe in employee empowermentWe believe that diversity is a means of successWhat Would You Be Doing?AdministrationManage the parking locations under his/her responsibility, under our mandate as set out in the management or lease agreement.Ensure that the needs of each client are met promptly and with a high degree of accuracy.Manage all internal/external policies for each locationManage all service contracts related to each parking location, under his/her responsibilityAssist the General Manager and Operations Manager with the annual budgets for each parking locationAttend client meetings with the Operations Manager and the General ManagerReview monthly revenue reports with the Operations ManagerPrepare purchase orders and approve invoices for each parking locationConduct regular rate surveys to ensure each location remains competitiveManage all personal injury and damage claims for each parking location under his/her responsibilityEnsure that the Accounting Dept has all necessary information (on time) to prepare client invoices for labor and management servicesOperationsEstablish and maintain proper operational procedures (Operations Manual)
for each location.Analyze each operation with a focus on improving service and efficiencyCoordinate with Supervisors daily to ensure proper operation of each locationAssist the Operations Manager and General Manager in maximizing overall revenues for each locationEstablish and maintain proper staffing levels for each locationConduct regular, in office training of staff to ensure all internal/external policies are being adhered to (uniform, lot conditions, customer service, etc.)Coordinate with Supervisors for regular lot audits (revenue and operational)Coordinate with Supervisors (and Operations Manager) on the annual distribution of client hangtags.Manage A/R (with help from the service coordinator) for each locationHuman ResourcesManage and supervise the daily activities of the SupervisorsEnsure that hiring policies are followed for each employeeReview with the Operations Manager all terminations for field staff, and ensure prior approval from the General ManagerConduct annual performance reviews of Supervisors, and semi-annual reviews of field staffConduct interviews regularly for current and future staffing requirementsTake disciplinary measures when and where required,
