Senior Financial Analyst

Reporting to: Controller / Director of Finance

Contract: 6 months

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst (Contract) to join a growing organization that has expanded through acquisitions and is continuing to integrate multiple operating entities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and helping create a stronger accounting foundation within a dynamic and evolving environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in situations where processes are still being developed. You will play a key role in strengthening month-end close procedures, improving reporting accuracy, and establishing effective controls and checks and balances across the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjusting entries
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support the month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Assist with day-to-day accounting activities and general ledger maintenance
- Review accounting work completed by AP and AR team members to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support payment processing activities as needed
- Analyze financial information, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions
- Assist with lender reporting and debt covenant compliance requirements, including quarterly reporting obligations
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting timelines, and internal controls
- Develop and implement procedures that create greater consistency, accountability, and operational efficiency across the accounting function
- Partner with management to establish stronger month-end close routines and reporting disciplines

What We're Looking For

- CPA designation (completed or in progress) preferred




- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a mid-sized or multi-entity environment
- Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
- Experience preparing reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and month-end close activities
- Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity in a changing environment
- Comfortable challenging existing processes and providing recommendations for improvement
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements, controls, and accounting best practices
- Robust analytical skills with a detail-oriented and proactive approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building
