The clinic is staffed by dedicated family physicians working alongside a skilled family practice nurse, dietician, pharmacist, and social worker, ensuring patients have access to a wide range of allied health services in one location.

Experienced clerical staff provide seamless administrative support, contributing to an efficient and well-organized practice environment. The clinic utilizes the Med Access EMR, enabling streamlined workflows, effective communication among providers, and high-quality continuity of care for its patient population.

Job Description

Shubenacadie Medical Clinic is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage from: October 5 – 30, 2026.





Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount.

Travel expenses, including kilometrage (within Atlantic provinces), per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week.
