Robert Half is seeking an interim, hands-on Operations Finance Director to drive performance improvement across a multi-site manufacturing network. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who combines strong manufacturing operations knowledge with manufacturing finance acumen. This individual will partner closely with senior operations leaders and plant leadership to improve plant performance, reduce manufacturing costs, strengthen KPI visibility and support strategic growth initiatives. The role is highly visible and requires a practical leader who is equally comfortable on the plant floor, in performance reviews and in executive discussions. This working arrangement is 5 days onsite in the Southwestern Ontario location, 3-6 months.

Key Responsibilities

- Partner with Plant Managers to improve performance across multiple manufacturing facilities
- Drive cost reduction and operational improvement initiatives
- Develop, standardize and monitor manufacturing KPIs
- Analyze plant performance and identify efficiency opportunities
- Support budgeting, forecasting and operational planning
- Participate in acquisition integration and capital projects
- Improve accountability and execution across operational initiatives
- Influence change across sites and functions without direct authority
- Approximately 50% travel

Requirements

- Strong experience in manufacturing operations
- Solid background in manufacturing finance, including cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and inventory analysis
- Deep understanding of plant performance metrics such as OEE, throughput, labour efficiency, scrap, yield, downtime, inventory accuracy, inventory turns, cost per unit and variances




- Proven ability to work directly with plant leadership and challenge constructively
- Experience driving change in a multi-site manufacturing environment
- Robust analytical, communication and business partnering skills
- Comfortable operating in both plant and corporate settings

Preferred

- CPA, MBA and/or Lean Six Sigma
- Acquisition integration experience
- Capital project exposure
- Multi-site manufacturing experience
- Experience with ERP and business intelligence tools
