We are searching for a Health Services Manager to join our Parkland on the River - Bridgeview Hall team based in Miramichi, New Brunswick.

Approximate annual salary range: $95,000 - $115,049 (based on years of experience)

About the Opportunity

Plans, coordinates, administers and evaluates resident care services related to allied health, recreation & wellness activities and provides clinical expertise





Provides leadership and oversight to all departmental activities to ensure compliance to policies, procedures, and applicable legislation

Oversees the recruitment, training, and orientation of recent team members

Monitors and manages performance and provides coaching

Ensures that the team adheres to Standards of Nursing Practice, Code of Ethics, Registered Nurses Act and Regulations as defined by provincial legislation

Organizes continuous quality improvement, risk management and quality assurance activities

Encourages and promotes relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Is responsible to reinforce best clinical practice to ensure optimal Key Performance Indicator results

Is very familiar with the required standards of DSD Nursing Homes and ensures that practice is in line with the standards

Participates on the Admission review committee monthly. Ensures that there are always admissions ready to be admitted within 48 hours of notice

Participates on the Professional Advisory Committee

Must participate in an on-call schedule with team members to ensure 24/7 management coverage.

Is visible to families, residents and staff to develop a trusting relationship

Leads and supports the team to ensure a resident focused approach to care and individualized approaches

Additional related duties as assigned/required

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

A Bachelor of Nursing, or equivalent, and are currently registered with the provincial association.

Minimum seven (7) years' nursing experience which includes five years' clinical and two years' management experience or equivalent





Successful candidates will be required to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check, and where applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check, prior to appointment

Ability to effectively plan, direct and coordinate resident care services with the needs of the organization.

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and performance manage others

Consistently demonstrates excellence in customer service to all stakeholders

Ability to effectively plan, direct and coordinate resident care services with the needs of the organization

Ability to utilize and manage resources to attain results while keeping within budget

Ability to lead, coach and performance manage others

Proficiency in personal computers and related software applications including Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to gather data, analyze information, and prepare reports

Experience working within a Long-Term Care environment is considered an asset.
