The Licence Centre is a high-volume registry office in Grande Prairie. We are currently seeking customer-focused, detail-oriented individuals who can deliver accurate, reliable service in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires strong attention to detail, precise data entry, and the ability to provide correct and consistent information to customers. Accuracy is essential, as errors can create significant downstream impacts for customers, colleagues, and Service Alberta.

Job Purpose
Registry Clerks assess customer needs and accurately process 160+ registry products across:
- Motor Vehicles
- Vital Statistics
- Land Titles
- Personal Property
- Corporate Registry
Services are delivered on behalf of The Licence Centre and Service Alberta, requiring strict adherence to policy, procedure, and legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet customers and identify required services
- Answer in-person and over-the-phone inquiries
- Clearly explain procedures and requirements
- Establish customer eligibility
- Examine documents and verify customer identity
- Assess customer behaviour and potential risk
- Review completed products with customers
- Obtain signatures and deliver finalized products
Accuracy and clear communication are essential to ensure customers receive correct information every time.
Data Entry & Database Use
- Accurately access and navigate Service Alberta databases
- Enter data precisely and verify information before finalizing
- Follow procedural guides and policy links
- Maintain data integrity and confidentiality
- Locate correct forms, inventory, and documentation
- Finalize transactions correctly and efficiently
High attention to detail and strong data input skills are critical for success in this role.
Payments & Financial Accuracy
- Calculate and apply correct fees
- Collect payments
- Balance and reconcile transactions
Policies, Procedures & Compliance
- Strictly follow policies and procedures for each service
- Apply FOIP and PIPA legislation
- Follow fraud detection and prevention protocols
- Avoid providing legal advice
- Secure documents, workspaces, inventory, and credentials
- Adhere to employee and agent codes of conduct
Personal & Interpersonal Skills
- Maintain a skilled, friendly demeanor
- Communicate clearly and confidently
- Manage time and workload effectively
- Work accurately under pressure
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues (printers, system errors)
- Work collaboratively as part of a team
- Respect confidentiality and public security at all times
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Satisfactory Police Information Check (government requirement)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education in business, retail, or computers is an asset
- Experience with SPIN, APPRES, and MOVES is an asset
- Knowledge of CORES and AHCIP is an asset
