This position is exclusively for applicants who currently hold active registration as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
This role requires a healthcare professional who is legally authorized to independently assess patients, diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, and order laboratory investigations within the Nurse Practitioner scope of practice in Alberta.
Applications from individuals who do not currently hold active Alberta Nurse Practitioner (NP) registration cannot be considered.
We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensed in Alberta to join our growing virtual healthcare team.
This is a remote, part time clinical position providing high-quality virtual primary care services to patients across Alberta. As an autonomous healthcare provider, you will independently assess patients, diagnose and manage medical conditions, prescribe medications, order laboratory investigations and other diagnostic tests, develop individualized treatment plans,
and provide ongoing follow-up care within your professional scope of practice.
You will document all clinical encounters using our electronic medical record (EMR) platform and collaborate closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
This role is ideal for Nurse Practitioners who enjoy practising independently, embrace technology-enabled healthcare, and are passionate about improving access to high-quality care for patients across Alberta.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
- Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care
- Previous experience providing virtual healthcare is considered an asset
- Comfortable working independently in a technology-enabled environment
- Highly organized with excellent clinical documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to collaborate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals
Key Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Current unrestricted registration as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Authorized to independently assess patients, diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, and order laboratory investigations within Alberta
- Eligible to practise independently in Alberta without supervision
- Excellent knowledge of Alberta healthcare regulations, standards of practice, privacy legislation, and virtual care guidelines
- Comfortable providing comprehensive virtual primary care using an electronic medical record (EMR)
