We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Farm Supervisor to lead daily operations on our agricultural site. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily farm activities, including planting, harvesting, irrigation, and crop management
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment, ensuring they function safely and efficiently
- Manage irrigation systems to optimize water use and ensure proper hydration of crops
- Conduct regular inspections of fields, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Lead a team of farm workers, providing training on proper use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all farm operations
- Maintain accurate records of crop yields, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory levels
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues using your mechanical knowledge to minimize downtime
Experience
- Proven experience in farm management or supervision within an agricultural setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment operation
- Hands-on experience with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and crop cultivation techniques
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and power tools safely and effectively
- Familiarity with basic math for measurements, calculations related to planting schedules, or fertilizer application
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and performing manual labor as required in farm environments
- Excellent communication skills to lead teams and coordinate tasks efficiently
