Abrams Towing is seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our Ottawa team. This is a full-time position covering overnight and weekend shifts.
- Answer incoming calls and gather accurate service information
- Dispatch drivers efficiently based on location, priority, and availability
- Monitor active calls and keep customers informed
- Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, police, and roadside-assistance partners
- Enter and update information accurately in the dispatch system
- Remain calm and qualified in urgent or high-pressure situations
- Complete shift reports and communicate outstanding calls to the next dispatcher
Qualifications
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working independently during overnight hours
- Dependable and able to work the full scheduled shift
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- Dispatching, towing, transportation, or call-centre experience is an asset
