Dr. Clark Public School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Grade 1 Teacher.

Requirements: Bachelor of Education Degree Desired Qualifications/Skills:

The Ideal Candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:

- Strong collaborative team player and a positive staff member
- Experience teaching in primary grades is considered an asset
- Commitment to providing individualized attention to all students
- Have the ability to design and implement Individual Program Plans
- Have demonstrated ability in creating a classroom characterized by inclusion, equity and differentiated instruction.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth
- Be prepared to work in a collaborative setting to reach the goals in the School Education Plan
- Possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Have Training in The Leader in Me or be willing to participate in training provided
- Knowledge of Executive Functioning and Regulation strategies and/or be willing to participate in professional learning provided
- Be open to current programs and initiatives
- Be a reflective practitioner
- Recognize the importance of making a robust, positive connection with all students, through classroom interactions as well as involvement with students outside the classroom. (ie. clubs and teams)




- Be willing to participate/volunteer in the school community beyond the classroom
- Recognize the importance of promoting the school with parents and in the community.
- Have skill in involving parents as partners (parental involvement)
- Possess an ability to create an effective team with educational assistants, parents and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Familiarity with Healthy Schools Policy/Apple Schools
