Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead operations at Red Oak Villa. As the senior leader on site, you will be responsible for overall performance including operations, resident experience, occupancy, financial results, and regulatory compliance.

This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional care and service in senior living.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

- Lead all departments including care, dining, housekeeping, maintenance, recreation, and administration
- Ensure a safe, welcoming, and high-performing environment
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement

Occupancy & Growth

- Achieve and sustain occupancy targets
- Partner with sales and marketing to drive leads and conversions
- Support tours, events, community outreach, and referral relationships

Financial Management

- Manage budgets, expenses, and financial performance
- Monitor labour and operational efficiencies
- Implement strategies to meet revenue and cost targets

Resident Experience

- Champion a high-quality, resident-centered experience
- Address resident and family concerns proactively
- Support engagement, satisfaction, and aging-in-place initiatives

People Leadership

- Lead, coach, and develop department managers
- Support recruitment, retention, and team engagement




- Manage employee relations and performance

Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with the Retirement Homes Act and RHRA standards
- Maintain inspection readiness and oversee risk management
- Ensure adherence to all applicable legislation (OHSA, ESA, PHIPA, AODA, Fire Code, etc.)

What You Bring

- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in retirement living, long-term care, healthcare, or hospitality
- Proven ability to lead multi-department operations
- Strong understanding of RHRA and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing budgets and financial performance
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- A resident-first mindset with a focus on service excellence

Assets:

- Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) license
- Bilingualism (English/French) – strong preference for Francophone candidates
- Post Secondary education in Business Administration or a related field

Working Environment

- On-site leadership role within the residence
- Some evening/weekend availability required
- Participation in on-call support as needed
- Occasional travel

Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
