ASAP Traffic is growing, and we're looking for a Traffic Operations Support to help keep our field operations organized, compliant, and running smoothly. You'll work closely with our Traffic Coordinators, field crews, and office team to support scheduling, permitting, and the day-to-day coordination that keeps traffic control projects on track. What You'll Do
- Help coordinate daily dispatching
- Book hotels and accommodations for out-of-town crews
- Assist with preparing and maintain daily work schedules, and respond to employee questions about shifts and assignments
- Keep leadership updated on staffing and equipment capacity
- Prepare, submit, and track municipal and road authority permit applications, and follow up with agencies as needed
- Maintain accurate permit and project documentation
- Monitor daily field reports and follow up to ensure accurate, on-time submissions
- Support recruiting — reviewing resumes, coordinating interviews, and communicating with applicants
- Provide general administrative support to the Operations team
What You Bring
- Experience in traffic control administration or dispatching
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in construction, industrial, or field services
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Nice to Have
- Experience with scheduling, dispatching, or project management software
- Background in traffic control, municipal/roadway permitting, or coordinating field crews
- Experience with recruiting or onboarding
- Knowledge of Alberta traffic accommodation or traffic control operations
Traffic control experience is a strong asset, but we encourage candidates with strong administrative, dispatching, or operations coordination backgrounds to apply even without industry-specific experience.
