CGI Montréal is looking for a Data Architect who is passionate about designing high-performing, secure, and scalable data solutions. In this role, you will define the architectures, models, and data flows that support the operational and analytical needs of an information-sharing platform focused on sustainable mobility. Working closely with business teams and technology experts, you will be responsible for designing data integration and governance solutions aligned with best practices, while ensuring data quality, integrity, and value realization. Your future duties and responsibilities

- Translate business and internal requirements into technical data solutions
- Understand internal management processes, system architecture, and the design and development of data and analytics solutions across a wide variety of business domains
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders and internal business specialists to implement strategic data-driven initiatives while adhering to data and analytics best practices
- Contribute to defining the structure and architecture of conceptual and physical data models
- Determine the best approaches for data modeling and provide guidance to teams on optimal data models that support a variety of data processing use cases, including transactional, analytical, batch, and real-time processing
- Define data flow and process architectures that segment and manage data by considering storage, transit, processing, transformation, and access requirements, while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, privacy regulations, personal information protection standards, legal entities’ requirements, and consent management policies
- Understand and meet data referential integrity requirements based on business needs
- Develop or assist in generating source-to-target data mappings for extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes
- Develop dimensional models and views required for data analysis, reporting,



and dashboard creation
- Recommend diverse and innovative solutions to integration challenges
- Ensure the continuous improvement of the BI platform architecture, from raw data acquisition through to the presentation layer

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, including relational modeling (Third Normal Form, ERD, data dictionaries) and dimensional modeling (star schema, cubes, data warehouse/data mart)
- Experience with traditional business intelligence technologies: ETL, data marts, dashboarding, and reporting tools
- Experience in data analysis and data profiling
- Experience in data reverse engineering to derive data-driven insights
- Relevant experience in data quality management (with or without dedicated tools)
- Minimum 5 years of SQL development experience with a variety of DBMS platforms, including SQL Server (Azure version considered an asset)
- Experience with the Microsoft BI suite (Power BI, T-SQL, SSIS, Data Factory, Snowflake, SSRS, SSAS, Power Pivot, Excel, etc.), as well as JSON, XML, and shape files (GIS)
- Knowledge of data governance principles and frameworks (DAMA, etc.)
- General knowledge of geomatics/GIS concepts
- Knowledge of various Azure cloud offerings and tools (Data Lake Store, SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Managed Instance, DevOps, Cosmos DB, etc.) will be considered an asset
- Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile project management methodologies will be considered an asset
- Experience in operational and business intelligence data governance (measurement, metrics, key performance indicators) will be considered an asset
- Excellent French communication skills (spoken and written)

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role.



The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 70 000$ et 135 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
