One of our clients is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join their growing CNC machine shop located in Uxbridge, ON. The company specializes in the production of small, intricate aluminum parts and the development of automation and fixtures for manufacturing applications.

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded machinist with strong CNC programming, setup, and machining experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills and lathes while ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to specified tolerances.

Responsibilities

- Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes based on blueprints and production requirements
- Create and modify CNC programs using Fusion 360 or Mastercam
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
- Select appropriate tooling and determine efficient machining methods
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, and adjustments as required
- Machine precision aluminum components while maintaining tight tolerances




- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment
- Troubleshoot machining issues and improve machining processes
- Assist with automation projects and fixture development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work workplace
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards

Requirements

- Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Machining, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist
- Strong programming experience with Fusion 360 or Mastercam is required
- Experience operating Haas CNC machines is required
- Ability to select proper tooling and machining methods
- Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Experience working with precision parts and tight tolerances
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Automation and fixture design experience is considered an asset

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
