De Castro Contracting Ltd. is a growing construction company specializing in commercial and residential projects throughout the Lower Mainland. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to help manage commercial construction projects from start to finish.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in both the office and on job sites, coordinating multiple aspects of construction projects while ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate commercial construction projects from planning through completion.
- Work closely with the Director, site supervisors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Schedule crews, deliveries, inspections, and project activities.
- Order and coordinate materials and equipment.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Monitor project schedules and assist with maintaining project timelines.
- Track project costs, purchase orders, invoices, and change orders.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports.
- Conduct regular site visits throughout the Lower Mainland.
- Identify potential project issues and assist in resolving them promptly.
- Ensure project documentation remains organized and up to date.
- Support the successful completion of projects while maintaining quality and safety standards.





Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or in a similar construction role.
- Experience with commercial construction projects is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Experience with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, JobTread, or similar) is considered an asset.
- Valid BC Driver's Licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout the Lower Mainland.
