Precision Castparts Corporation is a leading global supplier to the aerospace industry. Our business is expanding and we are in need of Machine Operators to fill new positions at our PCC Centra facility located in Cambridge, Ontario. These positions will have the opportunity to work on new state of the art, Makino A500iR machines.
We are looking for Team players who take pride in delivering quality work and providing exceptional results for our customers. The shifts are rotating continentals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Load, unload and run production machinery safely. Monitor speeds, feeds and cycle starts.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using basic measuring equipment and complete quality charts to verify tolerances.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine cleaning, minor troubleshooting and basic total productive maintenance (TPM) on equipment.
- Documentation: Log production metrics, track output data and report mechanical failures or defects.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: One to two years of machinery or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, work orders and technical schematics.
- Aptitude: Strong mechanical reasoning, basic math and attention to detail.
- Safety: Commitment to plant health and safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment.
