Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math/Science Instructor to inspire and support students in a small‑group learning environment. As a part‑time RootMaths Instructor, you will work with students at lower ratio, helping them strengthen their skills in subjects ranging from Algebra to Calculus. This role is ideal for educators who enjoy making math engaging, accessible, and confidence‑building for learners of all levels.

Responsibilities

- Deliver instruction using RootMaths programs and teaching methods
- Assist students with math homework, assignments, and test preparation
- Supervise, motivate, and engage students in a positive learning setting
- Provide encouragement and reward students for completed work
- Track, evaluate, and document student progress
- Communicate student needs and concerns to the Center Director




- Build rapport with students and contribute to a fun, supportive classroom atmosphere

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience in Canada
- Required to teach in person at our Coquitlam location
- Strong command of English (spoken and written)
- Solid understanding of the BC Curriculum
- Advanced knowledge of Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus
- Experience with AP, IB courses or Math contests is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
