Job Summary:

The Creamer Operator is responsible for operating the creaming and sandwiching line, ensuring baked cookie shells are accurately filled with icing and topped according to product specifications. This role involves full ownership of the machine throughout the shift, including setup, changeovers, process adjustments, routine monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain product quality and operational efficiency.

This is a mechanical role, not a button-pushing role. Genuine mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem solving are the core of this position. Candidates who can only run a machine without understanding how it works will not succeed here.

Pay rate: $19.14 per hour

Progression: $0.90 per hour increase every 90 days, to a top rate of $26.63 per hour

Duties

- Set up, start up, and shut down the creamer / sandwiching machine, including size and flavour changeovers
- Dial in cream weight, deposit temperature, sandwich alignment, and line speed — and hold them there
- Diagnose and correct mechanical issues on the fly misfeeds, jams, deposit variance, alignment drift, timing
- Make mechanical adjustments and minor repairs; escalate to Maintenance only when the fix is beyond line level
- Monitor cream supply and hopper levels; coordinate with the mixing and filling departmentPerform in-process quality checks — weight, appearance, sandwich integrity, cream distribution — and record results
- Track and minimize waste and rework, log downtime and root cause on production documentationComplete sanitation and CIP tasks per the master cleaning schedule
- Follow all GMP, HACCP, food safety,



allergen control, and health and safety requirementsSupport and train line operators and packers as required.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude — non-negotiable. You need to understand how the machine works, not just how to run it
- Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to troubleshoot under production pressure1–3 years operating production equipment in a food or CPG manufacturing environment (creamer, depositor, wrapper, or similar preferred)
- Comfortable with machine setup, changeovers, adjustments, and basic repairsWorking knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and allergen control
- Able to read and accurately complete production and quality documentationAble to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for a full shift, and work in a warm, noisy plant environment
- Reliable attendance and availability for overtime and shift rotationSafety shoes required; hairnets and uniform provided
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Considered an asset:

- Millwright, mechanic, or maintenance background — formal or informal
- Experience on high-speed biscuit, cookie, or confectionery linesOwn tools
- Forklift or walkie licence and Food Handler certification
