The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, maintaining accurate and organized inventory, completing shipping and receiving documentation and data entry. This role assures the efficient daily operation of the warehouse
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
- Pick, pack, organize, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Verify quantities and products against packing slips; documenting and communicating any discrepancies.
- Complete shipping, receiving, and other business-related paperwork accurately.
- Perform cycle counts, stock checks, and inventory adjustments to maintain accurate warehouse inventory and organized stock areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment as required and in accordance with safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work setting.
- Assist with other paperwork, organization, and data entry duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to assure accurate order fulfillment and inventory control.
- Ability to load and unload vehicles with boxes (<35lb) and move products throughout the shift.
- Basic computer, data entry, and math skills to maintain accurate inventory and shipping documentation.
- An understanding of the warehouse distribution process and continuous improvement is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and strong communication to resolve discrepancies and exceptions with the team in an effective manner.
- Forklift certification is an asset but not required.
- Valid G driver's license is preferred in order to move cars in the parking lot.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Thursday
- Occasional half days on Friday may be introduced if agreed upon.
