Job Overview:

As an ICI Estimator at DNN Contracting Inc., you will play a crucial role in the company's success by accurately estimating the costs of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather information, analyze project requirements, prepare comprehensive estimates, and report to Senior Management. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to negotiate pricing will contribute to the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate and detailed construction cost estimates for projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Utilize construction estimating software such as AutoCad, ProCore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Microsoft Excel, and/or Microsoft Projects to create comprehensive estimates
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify potential issues or discrepancies
- Research and source materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids




- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and related documentation

Requirements:

- 3+ years experience working with a general contractor or construction management firm
- Proven experience in ICI construction estimating in the GTA
- Solid knowledge of construction practices, materials, and methods
- Proficiency in using construction estimating software such as AutoCad, ProCore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, etc.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively
