Hiring: Low-Voltage Installer / Technician

WOW Electrical Corporation is hiring an experienced Low-Voltage Installer / Technician to work on large new-construction residential apartment projects.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and commission low-voltage systems, including:

- Security access-control systems
- Fob readers and card readers
- Electric door strikes and magnetic locks
- Request-to-exit devices and door contacts
- Access-control panels, controllers, relays, and power supplies
- Elevator access-control integration
- Parkade and vehicle gate-control systems
- CCTV and IP camera systems
- Network cabling and device connections
- Low-voltage wiring, conduit, cable tray, and device installation
- System testing, labelling, documentation, and deficiency correction
- Coordination with electricians, door-hardware suppliers, elevator contractors, gate contractors, security vendors, and the project team

Qualifications

- Experience installing access-control, security, or CCTV systems




- Knowledge of fob readers, door strikes, relays, controllers, and power supplies
- Ability to read drawings, riser diagrams, wiring schematics, and installation details
- Experience with IP cameras, network cabling, and equipment termination
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team
- Good communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation preferred
- Experience on large apartment or multi-family construction projects is an asset
- Manufacturer certifications or security-worker licensing are assets

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
