Our organization is seeking a Tier 2 Computer and Network Technician for our Ottawa location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving issues and creating solutions by troubleshooting hardware, software, and connecting to networks and systems. This is the perfect opportunity for a Level 2 Technician to become part of an creative and energetic team that develops their own tools which influence both our products and clients.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Set up and maintain computer networks, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and ensure network security.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.




- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as migrations, system updates and backups.
- Create and maintain documentation of network configurations and procedures.

-As you will be the primary on-site Ottawa technician, you must be a self starter who can function well individually but also, and most importantly, as a team. You will have the support and guidance of our entire team​ making the ability to reach out and work together while apart, essential.

-After hours, on-call shifts may be necessary on a task by task basis.

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles and protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet).
- Experience with network security technologies and best practices.

- Cable Management
- Office 365 / Microsoft 365
- VoIP

- Servers

-Previous knowledge of Medical and Dental PMS would be considered an asset.

-Onsite/installaton experience is essential

Given that we travel to our clients, you must have a valid Ontario G-Class Drivers License and clean driving record.
