We are currently seeking a candidate for the following vacancy:

Vacant Job Position: Service Field Technician

Vacant Role: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Sudbury, Ontario

In this job position, the candidate will perform the following job duties:

- Complete weekly, monthly semi-annual and annual inspections including testing of generators that are primarily installed to provide standby power in the event of a power outage etc.
- Diagnose and complete repairs to engines, alternators, radiators and other components of the systems including battery chargers etc.
- Replace coolant, oil and oil filters in large diesel and natural gas driven engines.
- Set-up and tear down of equipment required for performing maintenance, including building load and full capacity tests.
- Visually inspect generators to resolve generator discrepancies.
- Ensure that all service requests and emergency calls are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Complete routine tasks in an efficient, safe, and timely manner.
- Complete and submit service work order forms.
- Maintain clean work environment, both in-house and on client/customer sites
- Assist with ongoing shop work.
- Attend workshop training.
- Adhere to all safety practices and regulations,



including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Establish and maintain good relationships with Customers to achieve customer satisfaction and exceed their expectations.
- Ensure generators comply with safety regulations and electrical codes.
- Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will also obtain the following qualifications & skills for this position:

- 3+ years of Mechanical experience.
- Valid G Ontario Driver’s License.
- Robust problem solving and communication skills
- Prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable; excellent punctuality.
- 75% travel within Sudbury, Ontario and surrounding areas.
- Ability to work overtime and on weekends as needed.
- Generator experience is an asset.
