Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert medication counseling, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Experience in hospital or acute care settings, pediatrics, and familiarity with medical terminology are highly valued. The Pharmacist will play a vital role in supporting patient health outcomes through accurate medication management and personalized care.

Duties

- Dispense prescription medications accurately in accordance with physicians' orders and legal requirements
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and review patient treatment plans
- Monitor patient responses to medications and make recommendations for adjustments as needed
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and maintain detailed records of medication dispensing
- Oversee the storage, security,



and inventory management of pharmaceuticals within the pharmacy
- Educate patients on medication adherence, safety protocols, and health maintenance strategies
- Assist in training pharmacy staff or interns as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment

Requirements

- Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice
- Hospital or acute care experience preferred; experience in pediatrics is a plus
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and pharmaceutical calculations
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while managing multiple priorities
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to legal standards governing pharmacy practice
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable; internship experience will also be considered for entry-level candidates

Pay: $41.66-$67.06 per hour
