Qualifications – Ontario Healthcare Facility

- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum 3 years of recent Canadian Emergency Department nursing experience (required)
- Current CTAS (Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3-month assignment
- Must be willing to transition into a Charge RN role as required
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle required
- Accommodations: Provided

- Hours: Full-time

Responsibilities:
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Assess, triage, and provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department and Acute Care unit
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions while monitoring patient responses
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and support continuity of care across the Emergency Department and Acute Care unit




- Provide leadership and clinical support while transitioning into the Charge RN role and ensure compliance with skilled, organizational, and patient safety standards

Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.

Experience:

- Minimum 3 years of relevant Canadian Emergency Department nursing experience (required)
- Experience in Acute Care is considered an asset
- Familiarity with Meditech is an asset
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare setting

- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation, medication administration, and emergency patient care
- Compassion and empathy when supporting patients and their families
