Job Description: The Inside Sales position involves a mix of quoting, entering orders, and sourcing a wide range of materials to fulfill customers’ needs. We’re looking for someone proficient in both phone and email sales, who enjoys interacting with customers and problem solving.
The training process begins in the warehouse, where you will learn about the materials we carry and acquire a basic knowledge of our equipment (mainly saws and shears). Though this is a sales job, you must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and be able to do some moderate lifting / physical work as part of the training.
Key Responsibilities:
· Answer calls and respond to customer requests by email
· Accurately document all sales activity and customer interactions in the operating system
· Quote a wide range of metal types, and source hard-to-find metals
· Understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet their requirements
· Coordinate with other members of the sales team to ensure all inquires are accounted for
· Build and maintain robust relationships with recent and existing customers
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related field (1–3 years preferred)
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Comfortable using ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite
· High level of motivation and a positive attitude
