Role:
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated estimator/detailer to join our growing team in our new Chilliwack branch. This person will be responsible for preparing material take offs, shop drawings and cost estimates by analyzing project proposals and requirements. This position will appeal to someone who is detail oriented, can read plans and blue prints, is hands on and enjoys interacting with customers.

Ideal candidates for this job will have:
· Prior experience detailing and estimating (2-3 years minimum)
· Prior experience with rebar software programs (aSa, etc.)
· Post secondary education in a construction or engineering program
· Ability to read blueprints and specification documents
· Ability to provide accurate estimates and do budget costing
· Ability to provide cost breakdowns, schedule of values
· Ability to efficiently produce detail sheets with notes for installation crews
· Ability to meet scheduling deadlines
· Exceptional time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
· Ability to communicate effectively with trade contractors regarding new and current projects
· Proven ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment
Standard Job Duties:
· Analyze tender packages, including blueprints, to produce job estimates
· Produce material take offs/detail sheets with placing notes for installers
· Schedule rebar fabrication, delivery, and installation
· Communicate effectively with contractors to ensure scheduling requirements are met
· Other duties and projects as assigned
Education and Experience:
· Minimum 2-3 years experience detailing/estimating
· Experience in rebar software programs
· Proficiency in MS Office programs
