Flash Mart is a brand-new convenience, grocery and fresh bakery store opening in downtown Huntsville, with an expected opening during the first week of September 2026.

Keyholder Responsibilities

As a Keyholder, you'll be entrusted with opening and/or closing the store and holding primary responsibility for the building, cash and safety procedures during your shift.

- Open and/or close the store independently, including alarm activation/deactivation and securing the premises.
- Hold and safeguard store keys and alarm codes in accordance with company policy.
- Act as the on-shift point of contact and provide guidance to team members when a manager is not present.
- Complete opening/closing cash procedures, including till counts and safe drops.
- Ensure store standards, cleanliness and merchandising are maintained throughout the shift.
- Respond to and help resolve operational issues (e.g.,



vendor deliveries, minor equipment issues) during unsupervised hours.

- Develop excellent knowledge of grocery and bakery products, including ingredients and allergens.
- Prepare and explain products while following Flash Mart standards and guidelines.
- Bake off par-cooked and par-baked bakery items according to approved recipes and production schedules.
- Follow all applicable food safety, alcohol, tobacco, lottery, health and municipal regulations.
- Perform front-end duties, including checking identification for alcohol, tobacco, lottery and other age-restricted purchases.
- Follow proper sales procedures using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Support inventory management, including receiving, stocking and rotating product.
- Assist with training and supporting other team members in areas where you have experience or expertise.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and share ideas to improve store operations.
- Perform other duties as required.





Physical Requirements

- Frequent reaching above waist, chest and shoulder level, as well as below waist level.
- Frequent to continuous use of both hands for handling, gripping and fine motor tasks.
- Continuous standing and walking throughout scheduled shifts.
- Occasional lifting and moving of merchandise, up to [XX] lbs.

Minimum Job Requirements

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 19 years of age, as Flash Mart sells alcohol.
- Food Handler Certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Smart Serve Certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Passion for fresh food, baking and grocery retail, and creating an exceptional customer experience.
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience required.
- Prior experience with cash handling, keyholding or shift leadership preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to remain professional, organized and composed in a fast-paced environment, including when working independently.
- Must be flexible with hours of work and comfortable with changing priorities and responsibilities.

Flash Mart is open 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Bakery shifts may begin as early as 5:00 a.m. Keyholders should be available for opening and/or closing shifts.
