Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping/Receiving Associate to join our manufacturing/warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, shipping and receiving processes, and be familiar with warehouse management systems. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting e-commerce and distribution operations.
Duties
- Receive and unload incoming shipments using forklifts or reach trucks as needed
- Inspect received goods for quality and accuracy against purchase orders
- Record receipt of items into the warehouse management system (WMS) or MRP software
- Ensure proper storage of products in designated warehouse locations
- Prepare items for order fulfillment, including packaging and order picking
- Load outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently for delivery or distribution
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts or stock audits
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth distribution processes
- Follow safety procedures during all loading, unloading, and material handling activities
Skills
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, and AS400 platforms
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
- Ability to perform order picking, packing, and load & unload tasks efficiently
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution practices, including e-commerce logistics
- Familiarity with packaging techniques for various product types
- Experience working with order pickers and managing warehouse inventory levels
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and safety awareness
