Position Overview
As a Café Associate, you’ll play a key role in daily operations — preparing food in the kitchen, crafting beverages at the bar, and providing warm, attentive service to our guests. We’re looking for someone who’s dependable, team-oriented, and takes pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities
Bar & Beverage Service
- Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to café recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and equipment.
- Ensure coffee quality and consistency throughout the day.
- Manage drink orders efficiently during busy hours.
Kitchen & Food Preparation
- Prepare and assemble breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, and light meals.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Keep kitchen workstations clean and stocked.
- Assist with inventory checks and prep work as needed.
Customer Service & Team Support
- Greet customers with warmth and professionalism.
- Take accurate orders and ensure timely service.
- Handle payments and maintain accuracy in the POS system.
- Support team members and help maintain a smooth café flow.
General Duties
- Open and close café following standard procedures.
- Refill supplies and restock shelves or fridges.
- Keep dining and service areas clean and welcoming.
- Report maintenance or product needs to management.
Qualifications
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
- Basic food handling and barista knowledge an asset.
