The Robotics Technician supports production operations by troubleshooting and diagnosing manufacturing issues. The role involves optimizing automated equipment, analyzing repetitive process issues, and implementing robust technical solutions to enhance line efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Build, install, and maintain robotic and automated production systems.
- Keep accurate service records for equipment.
- Troubleshooting & Diagnosis:
- Analyze issues related to microprocessors, programmable controllers, sensors, and feedback systems.
- Perform root cause analysis for process failures and downtime.
- Process Optimization:
- Develop and refine robotic path motions to improve efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Adjust equipment settings and assist operators in maintaining proper machine functions.
- Continuous Improvement
- Work with cross-departmental teams to implement solutions for process enhancement.
- Analyze repetitive manufacturing issues and develop sustainable solutions.
- Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to IATF/TS 16949 Quality Standards.
- Follow health, safety, and housekeeping guidelines.
- General Support
- Collaborate with supervisors to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Perform other tasks and daily equipment checks as required.
Qualifications & Skills Minimum Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Electromechanical Engineering Technology preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience as a Process Technician in assembly/robotics environments.
Preferred Knowledge
- Proficient with hand tools, dies, and sensors.
- Basic understanding of:
- Pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
- PLC systems
- Machine guarding and safety devices
- Experience with stamping presses and preventative maintenance is an asset.

Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
