Overview

The HR & Finance Coordinator is a dynamic hybrid role that supports both the Human Resources and Finance functions within the organization. This position is responsible for helping ensure efficient HR operations while assisting with key accounting processes, including payables, receivables, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing confidential information while balancing multiple priorities across departments. This role serves as a key liaison between people operations and financial administration.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Support

- Assist with recruitment, including job postings, interview scheduling, and onboarding of new hires
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files
- Support payroll processing and benefits administration
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures
- Assist with training coordination, performance reviews, and employee relations activities
- Support employee engagement initiatives and HR programs
- Assist with Workers’ Compensation administration, including reporting workplace incidents, coordinating claims, maintaining documentation, preparing returns, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
- Liaise with internal teams and external providers to support timely processing of Workers’ Compensation claims and return-to-work programs
- Provide administrative support to the HR department and leadership team
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment legislation

Finance & Accounting Support

- Read, interpret, and review contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
- Process payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Prepare and submit customer invoices and post incoming payments
- Perform account reconciliations
- Assist in month-end reporting and financial close procedures
- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment or delayed payment
- Verify, code,



and process invoices and maintain accurate financial records
- Analyze discrepancies and resolve issues related to unpaid invoices
- Maintain vendor files and support general accounts payable functions

Administrative Duties

- Perform filing, data entry, and general administrative tasks
- Provide cross-functional support to the HR Manager and Controller
- Carry out additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

Experience & Knowledge

- 2–5 years of Human Resources or related administrative experience
- Preferred 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of HR practices and basic employment laws (preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions
- Experience reviewing and interpreting contracts

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with HRIS systems; NetSuite experience is an asset
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software

Role Summary

This hybrid role is ideal for a professional seeking to expand their experience across both HR and Finance. The HR & Finance Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting organizational efficiency, compliance, and employee experience while contributing to accurate financial operations.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
