Job Title: Production Worker
Position Overview
Set up, adjust, and operate production machinery to draw wire in various metal alloys and diameters while meeting safety, quality, and production standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Read work orders and bills of materials to confirm product specifications.
- Meet established production quantity, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Set up, operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain assigned machinery, including changing dies as required.
- Report machinery issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- Inspect products with tape measures, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify quality.
- Obtain required approvals, label packages, and move finished products to designated areas.
- Record production data and downtime accurately in the company ERP system.
- Follow safety and housekeeping rules, complete daily safety inspections, and participate in required training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills; ERP system experience preferred.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain effective work habits.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Frequently lift 20–50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
- Stand continuously and walk frequently.
- Use hands and feet to handle or control objects, tools, buttons, levers, and pedals.
- Perform repetitive movements, including bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and gloves.
- Work indoors in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with potential exposure to temperature extremes, elevated noise, contaminants, hazardous equipment, and minor cuts or burns.
- Work cooperatively as part of a team.
