Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, minimizing downtime and supporting our operational excellence. Duties

- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks, trailers, and related heavy equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, wheel alignments, and hydraulic system servicing.
- Repair and fabricate components for trucks and trailers utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
- Troubleshoot complex systems such as transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and engine components like diesel engines.
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely during repair or fabrication processes.
- Maintain accurate service records, complete work orders promptly, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Assist with tire service, shocks & struts replacement, soldering tasks,



and general assembly or disassembly of vehicle parts as needed.

Qualifications

- Proven mechanic experience with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles or industrial equipment; dealership experience is highly preferred.
- Solid mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes (including air brake systems), hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical diagnostics.
- Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex systems; familiarity with automotive repair software is a plus.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including MIG/TIG welding), soldering techniques and fabrication tools.
- Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs; experience with heavy lifting equipment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of farm machinery, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers and other industrial or construction equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding repair needs and maintenance schedules. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.29-$37.38 per hour

Expected hours: 60 – 80 per week
