Assurance Home Care is an in-home care company focusing on high-end services for its client's needs. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about what they do, understand, and respect the desire for independence while working closely with our clients. Our services include everything from companionship to housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, personal care and grooming assistance and running errands. We are seeking the ideal candidate who is patient, physically capable, and committed to delivering respectful, person-centered care.
Job Type: Part time with possibility of increased hours
- Provide support and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) to a client who is a youth with autism.
- Provide specialized care and companionship for an individual and family
- Prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding clients
Physical Requirement
- Ability to safely monitor the youth and ensure that they are in a safe workplace
- Experience supporting individuals with autism who communicate nonverbally and may require enhanced supervison due to elopment behaviour is preferred.
Education
- DSW Certification
- Valid CPR certification
Experience
- 3 year experience or more working with youth with autism
