DENTAL TREATMENT COORDINATOR
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed consultations to explain tx plans, procedures, timelines, and cost estimates (Invisalign, Implants)
- Assist patients with financing options, insurance coverage, pre-auth, and out-of-pocket estimates.
- Schedule tx appointments and follow up with patients who haven’t completed their plans
- Coordinate between clinical team and patients to ensure smooth care delivery
- Submit claims and pre-d, and manage insurance paperwork to maximize
- Monitor case acceptance, production, and payment schedules, and initiate reminders for outstanding plans
- Provide compassionate customer service, addressing concerns and reinforcing patient confidence
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator or in a similar dental administrative role (3+ years preferred)
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, insurance protocols, and treatment planning
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and sales-oriented skills
- Well-organized,
detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple patient cases and follow-ups
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (OpenDental experience is an asset)
- High integrity with respect to patient privacy and confidentiality
