Saltex is seeking an experienced, organized, and hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations. The successful candidate will ensure that inventory is accurate, orders are processed efficiently, safety procedures are followed, and the warehouse team meets productivity and service goals.
Duties include;
Duties:
- Manage daily receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, and distribution activities
- Supervise, train, schedule, and support warehouse employees
- Maintain accurate inventory records and investigate discrepancies
- Perform cycle counts and coordinate physical inventory counts
- Operate a forklift and ensure equipment is used safely
- Use RF scanners to receive, locate, pick, and track inventory
- Work with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage inventory and orders
- Ensure products are stored, labelled, and rotated correctly
- Monitor productivity, order accuracy, and on-time shipments
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, transportation, and customer-service teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized warehouse
- Enforce company policies and workplace health and safety procedures
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes and reduce errors
- Prepare operational, inventory, and performance reports
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments when required
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse management or supervisory experience
- Valid forklift certification and strong forklift operating experience
- Experience using RF scanners
- Solid knowledge of inventory control and cycle-count procedures
- Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Knowledge of receiving, shipping, order picking, and distribution processes
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to organize workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
- Ability to perform physical warehouse duties and lift materials safely as required
