The Schizophrenia Society of New Brunswick Inc has an exciting opportunity to promote and facilitate a brand-new program along with established programs In Northeastern New Brunswick. If you enjoy working with and helping people then this may be for you.
22.5 hours per week with potential for increased hours.
Starting Salary $21.00 per week
Requirements:
Diploma in Youth Care or Social Service Community Worker, or equivalent experience.
Valid driver’s license and access to own transportation (mileage will be paid for necessary work travel)
Strong knowledge of mental illness and positive coping skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, English required, Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
Strong time management skills
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite
Short and long-term planning (SMART Goals)
The successful candidate must be able to work in a team setting and independently, have the ability to conduct oral presentations, be willing to gain knowledge of SSNB programs.
It would be beneficial to have previous coaching and facilitation experience.
NOTE:
**The position requires flexibility, patience, a willingness to learn, the ability to adapt, positive attitude and compassion. The successful candidate must be outgoing, able to work in various environments and willing to travel the Northeastern Area of New Brunswick.
