Position Overview
Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker
As a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker, you will work across a variety of commercial and industrial job sites, contributing your expertise to HVAC and ventilation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with various HVAC and mechanical ventilation systems
- Install, repair, and maintain ventilation and ductwork systems
- Interpret drawings and specifications to determine HVAC system layouts
- Ensure work complies with applicable codes, permits, and safety regulations
- Identify and recommend areas for system improvements
- Supervise and mentor apprentice sheet metal workers as required
Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker / Labourer
As an Apprentice or Laborer, you will gain hands-on experience working alongside skilled journeypersons on commercial HVAC projects, ensuring all work is completed to code.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist journeypersons with daily tasks on job sites
- Follow instructions from supervisors and project leads
- Acquire tools and supplies as directed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Appropriate credentials and certifications (where applicable)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
