Role Description: The Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer position is a full-time, on-site role based in Red Deer, AB, responsible for performing maintenance, inspection, and repair on fixed-wing aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations and company procedures. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and ensuring all work preserves or restores aircraft airworthiness. The role involves documenting maintenance activities and using technical manuals and maintenance data to guide repairs. The Apprentice AME will work closely with operations and safety teams to meet service timelines, support safe flight operations, and participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Aircraft Maintenance skills,



including experience with inspection, repair, and servicing procedures.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Aircraft and Aircraft Systems, including familiarity with airframes, powerplants, and associated components.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify root causes of technical issues using diagnostic tools and technical documentation.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Airworthiness requirements, including compliance with regulatory standards, maintenance records, and quality assurance practices.
- Diploma with accreditation from an approved Canadian school and eligibility to work in Canada.
- Experience working in a hangar or line maintenance environment, with adherence to safety and environmental policies considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and regulatory guidance, with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with pilots, maintenance personnel, and management.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, respond to operational demands, and participate in ongoing training and certification updates.
