Position Overview
Reporting to the CEO, we are looking for a new team member that shares our values and is ready to take on exciting challenges as the company evolves. The Human Resource Manager will support HR functions across multiple entities, covering both corporate (BC) and site (Yukon) operations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Human Resources Administration
· Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and programs appropriate for a growing public mining company.
· Maintain confidential and accurate employee records, contracts, personnel files and HR documentation.
· Prepare employment agreements, offer letters, promotion letters, compensation-change letters and other employee documentation.
· Support organizational planning as the Company transitions from exploration and development toward potential mine operations.
Policies and Employment Compliance
· Monitor and support compliance with applicable British Columbia, Yukon and federal employment requirements.
· Maintain current knowledge of employment standards, human rights, privacy, occupational health and safety, workers’ compensation and related legislation.
· Develop and maintain policies covering areas such as workplace conduct, respectful workplace, travel, expenses, overtime, vacation, leaves,
accommodations, remote work, substance use and confidentiality.
Recruitment
· Lead recruitment activities for corporate, technical, operational and mine site positions.
· Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, offers and onboarding.
· Support the recruitment and administration of temporary, seasonal, contract and rotational employees.
Benefits and Payroll Support
· Work closely with payroll personnel to ensure employee changes, earnings, deductions, vacation, overtime, premiums and leaves are accurately communicated and processed.
· Review payroll-related HR information and help resolve employee payroll questions.
· Administer employee benefits in coordination with service providers.
Employee Relations and Performance Management
· Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers regarding workplace concerns and employment matters.
· Lead or support workplace investigations and ensure matters are documented and addressed appropriately.
· Promote a respectful, inclusive and professional workplace culture across corporate and mine-site locations.
Qualifications
· At least 7 years of progressive human resource experience in Canada.
· Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
· Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation BC & Yukon.
· Strong understanding of Employment Standards and legislation in BC and Yukon.
· Experience in a mining or industrial environment is a strong asset.
· Familiarity with ADP or similar payroll systems.
· Familiarity with averaging agreements in Yukon is an asset.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
· Ability and willingness to occasionally travel to a remote Yukon mine site.

Pay: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
