We are searching for an experienced Crusher Operator – Tower Man to join our hardworking crew here in the Okanagan.
The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of experience working in the aggregate production trade, as well as
- Strong understanding of specific gradation of materials
- Strong understanding of the British Columbia Health, Safety, and Reclamation Code for Mines
- Valid Shiftboss Certification
- Experience around equipment
- Eye for detail
- Good communication skills
- Great work ethic and attitude
- Attentive to safety standards
Wage will be based upon experience.
**Please note that the work shift is 10 hours a day Monday to Friday, and 8 hours on Saturday.

Responsibilities/Duties:
· Must be able to communicate effectively with others
· Must be able to work with minimal supervision
· Must be able to work well with others
· Complete pre-operation inspections on equipment
· Perform daily safety and maintenance checks for equipment
· Perform daily operation and maintenance of the crusher
· Shovel and change crusher screens
· Organize and supervise a crew of workers
· Organize and supervise mobilization and setup when necessary
Education & Experience:
· Must have experience loading aggregate for crushing
· Must have a Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence
· Minimum 5 years of experience in the aggregate production trade is preferred
· Mechanical skills is an asset
· Having a valid Shiftboss Certification is an asset
· Any experience operating equipment is an asset
Physical Demands:
· Lifting up to 50lbs
· Sitting for extended periods of time
· Climbing on and off equipment
· Working in varying temperatures and weather conditions
Work Workplace:
· Working outdoors in all seasons
· Working around heavy equipment
· Exposure to dust and loud noises
