Operates a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and router to convert plastic materials to produce shapes specific to customers’ required size and shape
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Below are the three CNC machines the candidate will need to operate.

- Following company CNC set-up process, prepares machine to perform different jobs as per the print/drawing instructions and programming supplied
- Translates engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production
- Selects bit or machine tool according to type of cut specified on work order and safely attaches the bit/tool to the router or CNC machine
- Establishes cutting parameters to achieve maximum quality
- Oversees machines while they execute the tasks and makes necessary changes to produce improved results
- Checks machinery daily to guarantee functionality
- Communicates issues that may arise in the creation of a piece
- Maintains a protected working area and follows established safe work practices
- Uses computer to enter records, track material, and control inventory
- Pulls stock and restocks from/to storage locations; removes cut stock from machine and maintains production count
- Performs preventative maintenance and other routine maintenance on equipment as needed or prescribed in work instructions
- May be required to run secondary equipment such as saws, other routers, and CNC machines
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Ability to operate a computer numerical control (CNC) panel saw
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid forklift license is required
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs; able to measure material using devices such as calipers and tape measures.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay: $19.00-$26.00 per hour
