We are seeking a motivated and skilled Body Man/Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. I am looking for an individual to build cars. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and customizing vehicle bodies with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise in metal fabrication and automotive repair will ensure that each project meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties
- Perform body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, surface finishing, gapping panels, shrinking/stretching metals, if sheet metal is not available you may be required to refurbish it.
- Fabricate custom metal parts and panels to specifications by tig welding and use of an English wheel (would be considered an asset)
- Conduct heavy lifting of vehicle parts and materials safely to facilitate repairs and modifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace,
ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, ensure timely project completion, and uphold safety standards
Experience
- Certified Body Man or Metal Fabricator prefered but not necessary
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle structures, body systems, and repair processes
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, pry bars, chisels, and files
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Must work independently, as you will be in your own shop
