We are currently looking for an experienced Finisher to join our team.

A Millwork Finisher prepares and applies protective and decorative finishes to wood products like cabinets, trim, and fixtures, ensuring they meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Strip, sand, and clean wood surfaces to prepare them for finishing.
- Apply stains, toners, and glazes to achieve the desired colour and finish, matching specifications or client samples.
- Apply lacquers, sealers, paints, and other protective coatings using brushes, spray guns, or specialized equipment.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and finishing machinery and equipment, such as spray booths and sanding tools.
- Inspect finished products for imperfections, ensuring they meet high-end quality and finish standards.
- Mix custom stains, paints,



and other coating formulas to match specific client samples or design specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including the equipment and finishing shop.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proficiency with hand and power tools, finishing equipment, and various coating and application techniques.
- A keen eye for colour, wood grain, and fine details to achieve a flawless and aesthetically pleasing finish.
- Manual dexterity, to perform precise tasks, including working with small components and maintaining a consistent application.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, production managers, and other team members.
- Strong record-keeping skills to manage formulas, mixes, and adjustments, as well as maintain a well-organized workspace.
